Our Vision & Approach
Better wound care starts with listening ---Really listening--- to the people who live, work and struggle within the system every day
Why This Project Exists
Wound care often involves multiple providers, settings, and support. When information is fragmented or care is difficult to coordinate, experiences can vary widely for patients, caregivers, and clinicians.
London Wound Care exists as a space to explore these varied perspectives and to better understand how wound care is experienced across hospitals, clinics, homes, and community settings.
Our Vision
A wound care landscape that is better understood through the perspectives of those who experience it and work within it.
A shared understanding of how care is delivered in real-world contexts, and how education, coordination, and support can be strengthened over time.
Our Approach
-
Listen to the experiences of patients, caregivers, and health care providers across settings.
-
Gather perspectives from hospital, community, outreach, and specialist contexts.
-
Identify common themes related to communication, access, coordination, and support.
-
Share insights and examples of practices people describe as helpful in their own settings.
-
Create opportunities for learning across organizations, sectors, and roles.
-
Maintain a platform where perspectives can be shared respectfully and thoughtfully.
What Comes Next
As this project develops, London Wound Care will continue to focus on learning, reflection, and shared understanding.
Insights, resources, and perspectives gathered through this platform may help inform future educational efforts and, over time, shape decisions about potential next steps — subject to organizational development, funding, and governance.
